Taylor being a "stinker"

I wanted to write the things down that Taylor does that are funny. She once took out the bathtub soap in a bottle and poured over half of it on the carpet at the top of the stairs. It took me at least and hour to clean it up and I used at least five towels to do so. She will climb out of her port a crib as well as getting out of her big girl bed in the middle of the night and come into our room. Her dad because he is such a softy will get into bed with her and fall asleep with her in there. Hopefully this does not become a trend for her. She will stuff sticky notes in the crack between the door and the wall so when Chris opened up the door all the sticky notes fell down. Lately when we ask her to get into her high chair to get something to eat she will complain or get upset. Sometimes we have to coax her to get into it by giving her a nilla wafer. Other times I have to use time out with her and this calms her down and she gets back into her chair. Taylor will also throw food on the floor that she does not like or gets mad when mommy can't carry her from place to place. I would normally be able to do that but being pregnant and so close to the due date makes it too hard. Chris walked into her room first thing in the morning to check on her and he said that she had taken all her clothes off and was naked. Apparently I was working and missed the whole thing. She also likes to take the DVD's out of the cases and transfer one DVD to other empty cases. She has scratched her Baby Einstein DVD by doing this but surprising has not ruined any other DVD's. She sometimes will let her Dad brush her teeth and other times she cries and tries to get away from it.

Hurricane( Family Reunion) and Birthday

Taylor, Chris and I drove down to hurricane for Chris's mom side of the family for a fun weekend. Taylor did really well on the ride there and only got ansy to get out 30 minutes before we got there. She was a little bit clingy to me while we were gone but she usually warmed up to the kids/cousins that were there the longer we were there. She got to see a lake, play in the water, stay in a condo, see her grandparents, aunts and uncles and a bunch of cousins too. She slept in the walk in closet and did not enjoy that and would wake up crying at 3 in the morning so she would come in the bed with us and roll around until we wanted to get out of bed. She was so exhausted on the way home from hurricane that she slept almost the entire way back. It is a 3 1/2 hour drive and she slept 3 hours. Actually we all would have slept that long if we weren't the ones driving. She has been growing and developing so much. She says a lot more words and is more independent. She can get into her high chair and her car seat on her own. She can go up and down the stairs usually without help and I got a stool for her to stand on so that she can brush her teeth. She still loves taking baths and snuggling with us when watching one of her shows. She likes to watch videos of herself on her dad's phone too. I have been taking her to the pool and seven peaks which she enjoys. She likes the wave pool but she likes to stay in the more shallow portion and she likes to go into the little kid pool. When I take her to my pool she likes to stand on the first step and throw toys into the pool. For her birthday we had a bunch of her cousins and aunts and uncles come, her grandparents, and even great grandparents there. We held it at the townhouse clubhouse so that we had room for everyone. We had everyone swim for an hour and then they all came in and had hot dogs with avocado, tomatoes, cheese, and condiments. We also had a fruit salad, meatballs, broccoli salad, and this good punch that I had gotten the recipe from my aunt. We then sang happy birthday to Taylor with a watermelon decorated birthday cake and the other kids were able to have homemade cupcakes that I had made as well as the cake, and drumsticks. Taylor then opened up her presents which were books, a dress, puzzle, two stuffed animals, and twenty dollars. The next day was Taylor's official birthday which was on a sunday and we gave her the play kitchen which she played with the entire day. The next day which was monday she didn't even want to watch her strawberry shortcake show and just wanted to play with her new kitchen. Some things that Taylor says now are truck, boat, "quack" for duck, all done, dirty, hot, car, book, poo poo, door, mamma, dada, papa, wow, hi, bye, etc. She still likes to point at things to change the subject and she also likes to run when she has the room to do so.

Taylor and Kenidee

We found out that we are having another girl and it has been difficult for us to come up with girl names and Chris asked around and work and the name Kenidee came up. We actually really like that name and we think it is really cute. Taylor is getting cuter and cuter. She likes to point and things and make a sound. She also will go through my purse and take everything out. She recently has been going through my wallet and taking out my credit cards and hiding them underneath the T.V. I asked her one day where they were and she pointed underneath the T.V., and there they were. At least I did not have to cancel my credit cards and at least she is honest. She likes to go to the park on the slides and the swings. She also likes to go in the pool and she laughs so hard that she gets the hiccups every time. Today we went to seven peaks and she experienced the wave pool for the first time and was hesitant at first, but was in awe of watching the waves coming in. Chris and I took her to the kiddie part of it and had her go down the slides. She had the biggest smile on her face as she was going down the slides with Chris. She still has really curly hair which I love and she has the biggest smile. She loves to run and can actually run pretty fast. She is good about holding our hands when walking down the stairs or crossing the street. She likes to take out Chris's books on the bookshelf and bring them to us and she loves to take her baths. She likes to give hugs and holds on really tight to you when she is hugging. She is an animal lover and likes to get close to them. She is very reserved around adults that she does not know and will put her head down when they try talking to her but she is more outgoing with kids her age. I was just noticing the personality difference between her and Kenidee so far in the womb and there is a big difference. I feel Kenidee kicking me all the time and remember Taylor being very still so much I went to the doctor to make sure that she was OK. It will be interesting to see what they will be like as sisters. She likes to yell in excitement or attention when her dad gets home from work. She likes to snuggle with her dad and gets as close to him as she can so that he can read to her or watch videos of herself on his phone. She also gives loves by putting her forehead against your forehead and yesterday in the car I was sitting next to her and she did that. She that put her arm around my head to bring me closer. It was so sweet.

More Taylor

Taylor is starting to explore more. She likes to go looking for things in the house to get into. She will sometimes go upstairs and go through drawers or toys. She likes to go running as well. She gets so excited to do so and can run really fast. She is starting to learn how to throw the ball and kick it as well. She also talks alot but it seems like it's in her own language and I can't understand it. She likes to play hide and go seek but is still really shy around people that she does not know. Her diet has improved as well. She will now eat apples, peas, meat sticks, cheese, pancakes, strawberries, meatloaf, grapes, bread, chicken, turkey, and cheerios. She is really sweet in that she likes to snuggle. She loves being held and will nestle her head in your shoulder. She loves being read to and she really likes going out. She likes to go for car rides and just likes being outside in general. She likes to look at pictures in a book and will point to objects to identify them when I ask, where is the boat, or where is the car, etc. She likes to point in general at things and blushes when you smile at her. She is really good about holding my hand when we go out and that makes me feel safe when we are out and about.

Oh Taylor

Oh I love Taylor. She is getting so cute minute by minute. She loves to dance. Her favorite song is "Forget You" by Cee Lo. When she hears it she runs over to the computer and starts bouncing up and down with her knees. She even moves to the beat and has serious rythym. I love watching her. She also loves to get her books out and hand them to me so that we can read. When looking at the books I'll ask where is the car or flower, or butterfly and she usually points to it. She likes to point at things when someone is looking at her so that we can change the subject. She is a lot like me in that respect because I never like attention on me. She also is eating better. I can get her to eat a P&J sandwich for lunch, but I just have to cut it up in smaller pieces. She still follows me around everywhere which is really cute... she even follows me or her dad into the bathroom. We might have to teach her boundaries about this when she gets older. She is still very shy around those that she does not know and tries to hide her face behind me or will start blushing if someone else is looking at her. She went to nursery a few Sundays ago and Chris staying in with her for a little bit. I asked one of the Nursery workers how she did and she said that after Chris left she cried for a little bit, but she handed her a baby doll and she started hugging it. Hopefully it will get easier each week she goes, but I just hope that she does not get sick. She has really curly hair which she inherited from her dad's side of the family, and I think it's so cute. Hopefully she will like it and not hate it. She says words like, car, momma, dadda, flower, hot, all done, dog, etc. I think that she is really smart and we just love her to pieces.
